Remember when I said that I was going to review coffee shops on here, and then I didn’t?! I’m trying to change that. In my defense, most of them have been closed since I started this blog.
I have recently tried out New York Beanery, located in Amityville. Their instagram features some beautiful looking donuts and beverages, which inspired me to give them a try. I ordered the Rainbow Cookie Iced Latte (pictured above on the left) , and my boyfriend ordered the Choco Berry Iced Latte (pictured on the right). The Rainbow Cookie Latte tasted good–it was very similar to other rainbow cookie lattes that I have tried (it’s my favorite thing to order everywhere I go). However, the Choco Berry Latte was amazing. It consists of strawberry and mocha blended together with actual bits of fruit at the bottom. It was very different! And after it was sitting around for a while, it actually tasted a lot like a rainbow cookie latte.
We also ordered a Fruity Pebbles donut, and it was delicious. I have to add that the staff was super nice and made another batch of donuts for us because they had just sold out.
I ended up going back there a second time to try their Mint Matcha White Chocolate Latte. I don’t know why I ordered this because I don’t actually like matcha. However, the pictures of it had me sold and I wanted to give it a try. I actually really liked it! My boyfriend, who is a big matcha person, loved it.
They also have these beautiful looking drinks. I believe that this one is only available for a limited time, but they have another similar looking drink called the Sunset Refresher. I haven’t tasted this, but I’ve seen it in person and it looks glorious.
New York Beanery is currently offering contactless pickup, and you are able to order both in advance and at their takeout window. I would highly recommend checking them out!
