Last week, I went to the LRoom Cafe in Union Square. The pictures that I have seen on instagram are gorgeous, and it definitely lived up to the photos. This place is so pretty, it’s downright whimsical. When was the last time you were able to describe a place as whimsical?!
It definitely appeals to instagram culture. The front window has buzzwords on it, like “brunch” and the inside has areas that the customers have designated for photo ops. The food is extremely photogenic as well. While I was there, every table (mine included) took pictures.
The food and desserts were delicious, as was the Matcha Taro Latte. That latte is the number one thing I would recommend from there. Look at how beautiful this is!
I got the Bling Bling Honey Latte, which tasted alright. I wasn’t ordering it for it’s taste, to be honest. It sparkled so much that I couldn’t get it off of my lips for hours after. As I was oh-so-sweetly told by my boyfriend, it looked like I had been snacking on a school project (to be fair, it did).
The cost was not exactly cheap, but considering it’s New York City, I wasn’t shocked. I personally think that it was worth the money, as the decor was so unique. Oh, and the flowers are edible! That was a new experience for my table.
I would definitely recommend going!
